We had a great turnout of 97 runners for our special August T5k race supporting one of our coaches, Val Evans, who walked the course to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. The warmth of the support from all who turned up was greatly appreciated by Val and her family. Aside from her JustGiving account, a total of £649.48 was raised on the day!
The race was won by Scott Mansfield of Plymouth Musketeers in a time of 17:24, closely followed by unattached runner Dominic Lapthorn in 17:29. Kris Curtis took third place in 17:59. It was great to see such a mix of runners, from seasoned athletes, through first time holidaymakers, to the many from the TAC run groups who turned out specifically to support Val.
The next race will be on Saturday 20th September.
