Tavistock Athletic Club is now looking for local individuals and businesses to associate themselves with our Club through a variety of sponsorship opportunities. Your money (or technical support or business expertise) would be used on specific projects or events with which your name would be associated. For example:
Technical Infrastructure Projects
The lighting around our track that allows our athletes to continue their training during the dark winter evenings is aged and needs replaced. A modern LED lighting system will reduce running costs and provide a safe and bright training environment. Are you an electrical contractor who could offer practical help or can you contribute to the costs?
We also have a bold plan to build a clubhouse on the track surround to support all our activities and to offer a social hub for our members.
Events
TAC runs a number of events throughout the year, for senior and/or junior athletes, which are popular throughout the Southwest. For example, our Tavy 7 road race in October – an event that attracts hundreds of runners each year – is seeking a new title sponsor this year.
Non-specific Club Support
Whilst the Club aim to be profitable by balancing income and expenditure each year, the aim is to keep the costs to the athletes as low as practically possible in order to live up to our ‘by-line’ – A Club For All. Any financial support which can offset our necessary outgoings and hold the membership fees down would be very welcome.
What we offer
In return for your sponsorship, we can offer, for example, an advertising board at the track side and inclusion in our press releases – we are very active in the local press and on social media. An event sponsor will have their name of the event T-shirts, and all advertising of the event. We can provide further details and a breakdown of the likely costs of any deal.
